Born in Russia, Alla Tsank studied Fine Arts and Scenic Design at the Moscow Theatrical Art College.  In her oils and acrylics on canvas and paper, she experiments with textures, and creates exciting and rich surfaces with modeling paste and gesso.  Her compositions, where melancholia and humor, nostalgia and fantasy are always together, reflect her own experience and connections with the world as an artist.
