Each of the Artists listed here are masters of their craft and have been selected to receive the award of excellence by an independent panel of judges for the Sausalito Art Festival. Their work is museum quality original art and was judged as the best of the show for 1998. The Award Winning Artists where chosen out of a field of over 225 internationally recognized top juried Artists and craftsmen exhibiting in the 1998 Festival.
Judging for the awards is completed by a panel of art professionals, including museum curators, gallery owners, art professors, and internationally established artist jurors. The Judges tour the Festival gallery and award points to exhibiting Artists where excellence and originality is determined. The judging is conducted on Saturday during the show, and awards are presented Saturday evening at the Artist Awards Reception.
