Weather in Sausalito:
Late September weather in Sausalito may be hot and sunny during the day, and cool and foggy at night. In addition, it may also be quite cool and foggy first thing in the morning. Therefore, we recommend Artists dress in layers and bring the following items for their comfort:
- Sun Screen
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Scarf
- Light Gloves
- Sweater and Jacket
Helpful Hints About the SAF
Gala Preview Party Information:
The Sausalito Art Festival Preview party takes place on Friday, September 3rd.
Artists are required to be set-up and staffing their booths from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The Preview Party is the time when many consistent Art buyers from the greater Marin area come to meet the Artists and purchase items. This is a great way for you to make a personal connection and offer a true preview of your art.
At 9:00pm, Artists are invited to partake in the SAF Gala Preview Party festivities.
Each Artist receives (1) one complimentary ticket for their use.
Attire for the event is optional black tie. However, we do encourage everyone to dress for a gala social event. Remember, it can get quite cool at night, so layers are best!
SAF Preview Party Ticket Order Forms and pricing information will be sent out via email by June 11, 2010.
Artist Hospitality Tent:
The SAF Volunteer Captain, Sean Saylor owner of Saylor’s Restaurant & Bar, keeps our Artists and VIPs sustained throughout the weekend with daily continental breakfast items, hot lunch, snacks throughout the day, as well as live music.
The Artist Hospitality tent is located outside the gated area on the North East Corner of the SAF grounds, and looks out over Richmond Bay.

* Sunday Hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM
* Monday Hours: 8:00AM - 3:00PM
Lunch is served daily between the hours of 11:00AM and 2:00PM. Each Artist will be assigned a lunch time.
Access to the Hospitality Tent is granted to those wearing their Artist or Booth Assistant Badge.
